REPLACEMENT VERANDA

A client asked me to fix a leaking veranda, it was tiled, but when it rained water was dripping into the garage below. After removing some plasterboard from the garage ceiling I could see that the chipboard floor was soaked right through. After consulting the client we decided to redo the floor completely.

As you can see from the photos this is what we found!

Tiles were removed , then a layer of self-levelling cement which had taken out the slope stopping water running away, then five layers of bitumen felt from previous repairs and at last the chipboard floor.

Three timber joist were replaced a new sterling board tongue and groove floor and then a covering of fibreglass to complete the job with a white coloured gel coat, then finally the walls were re rendered, and when the render dries, a coat of paint.

After a good soaking from the autumn rain, no leaks, and a happy customer
